Your Trusted Therapist

Jennifer's Biography

I am a certified Heart-Centered Hypnotherapist, with the Wellness Institute. I have a strengths-based, trauma-informed, multicultural approach to addressing your mental health concerns that integrates varied treatment philosophies. (And, should you be curious, my treatment philosophies integrate... the person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, expressive art, internal family systems, and narrative therapies, as well as the somatic, transformational, and energy psychologies.)

I have previously served adults who have been homeless in Orange County in a community mental health clinic – treating concerns such as mood dysregulation (depression and mania), complex relational trauma, paranoia, psychosis, anxiety, and substance use – and middle-high school youth in a Los Angeles charter school system – treating adjustment to stress and anxiety during the pandemic.

Through my education and experience. I have primarily served children, adolescents, adults, and families, and have received additional training in: cognitive-behavioral therapy for children and adolescents, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems therapy, self-injury/self-harm, and grief and loss.

Through both my professional and my own healing work, I have come to believe that healing is an art form that each person can develop into a strength they turn to every day. My own personal healing arts practice now involves regular meditation, self-hypnosis, song, dance, and faith in The Divine.
